All of the girls have been promoting non-stop, especially in Japan and I know for a fact that they’re tired and all of them need a legit vacation but I want to talk about Taeyeon specifically and only Taeyeon.
SM really needs to let her rest and give her voice a break. She looks so tired, I’ve been noticing it in recent pictures. Rather than thinking she’s becoming “distant” and “cold” or “the new ice princess” — I just really believe that she’s tired as hell.
I was so happy when I seen her perk up after their M! Countdown win. It seems like that genuinely made her forget about being tired and her lively, energetic spark came back. She always performs flawlessly despite being tired/exhausted, all of them do, to be honest.
I hope after this comeback, they can get the rest they really deserve. I’m still proud of our Kid Leader, Taeyeon. She really does try her best and it’s unfortunate that some people can’t see that and automatically bash her or label her — this also applies for the rest of SNSD.
Thank you, for the wonderful comeback, SNSD. I appreciate your effort. If you ever come out with a horrible song/album in the future that I end up disliking, which luckily it hasn’t happened, I’ll still support you guys because the amount of effort you nine girls put into these comebacks.
Thanks for creating an amazing group, SM. You definitely picked the right members and I’m glad that they stayed together from debut up until now and hopefully many more years to come.
look, i get that you made this post out of love, and i appreciate that, but i am getting really, really, really, really tired of ppl who call themselves taeyeon fans constantly holding taeyeon up to some ideal image of her that has never existed?
i mean i’m not trying to attack you, but this is a thing snsd fans do a lot, where they decide for themselves that the girls are being overworked (by what? by doing their jobs? are you guys hoping for a mythical perfect world where snsd are a hugely successful pop group that never promotes new music or goes on tour? why is it that snsd are never able to do anything without people complaining that they must be tired? when exactly are they supposed to do their jobs?) and then you work yourselves into an emotional frenzy over snsd’s “tiredness” or their “sadness” and it’s so, so, so painfully dismissive of how wonderful taeyeon is, and how quietly and earnestly excited she’s been about this comeback, how much she thinks about you guys by trying to provide updates about it, how awesome her performances have been this last week. (like, really, rest her voice? this is the strongest i’ve heard taeyeon’s voice sound at the beginning of a comeback in like, years.)
i understand that you being concerned for taeyeon ostensibly comes from a place of respect, but ignoring who she is as a person so that you can pretend she’s “too tired” instead of just acknowledging she’s never been a huge ball of energy to begin with comes off as more disrespectful than anything. it’s like saying who she is isn’t good enough for you, and moreover, it completely disregards how happy she’s been over the last few years and how it’s clearly important to her that she has a place where she can express that, and share with her fans how genuinely happy and excited she is to be able to do her job.
if you really cared about her, you’d pay attention to her, like, really pay attention to who she is, and how she talks about herself, and how she talks about her work. it’s tiring work, but it’s obvious she views it as rewarding work, and if you want to do right by her, you’d respect that.
